While MEPA is wasting taxpayer money on spots trumpeting the access to environmental information that it allows the public, fully the ‘site at …’ designation, which makes it almost impossible for the public to identify the sites to be developed. While countryside plots may lack a number, this practice is also being perpetrated in urban locations. This is nothing but manipulation of data intended to prevent neighbours from objecting, and should have been corrected at MEPA vetting stage.
This has been highlighted repeatedly and MEPA’s lack of corrective action has encouraged the practice as in the 29 th December applications, fully one-third are listed as ‘site at’! As such, MEPA’s inaction can only be taken as collusion in planning deceit.
