On Sunday 21st April at 16.00 FAA will join MALTA-ARCH for a nature walk in Gozo as part of FAA’s advocacy for the preservation of the scenic Victoria-Marsalforn Road. Participants will learn from experts how trees as well as large swathes of highly fertile arable land are being threatened by a proposed non-essential and dangerous road-widening project. After the walk, participants will gather at Marsalforn to discuss Gozo’s natural beauty, and brain-storm ways of preserving it before it is too late. ![]()

Walk: Triq Marsalforn Road and Wied tal-Grazzja (approx. 3 km)![]()
Endpoint: approx. 18:00: Marsalforn to discuss future action for the preservation of Gozo’s irreplaceable natural beauty.![]()

Exploring the countryside around Madliena and Swieqi in April 2024. It is important that rural areas within out-of-development zones remain protected for the public to enjoy, whilst contributing to quality of life through physical activity and a sense of community. Using up such areas for construction would limit the residents’ access to the natural environment, thereby also closing in on our fundamental need and right to nature. We are part of nature; not above it, and not disconnected from it, if we choose so.![]()
